Directions to the Temple Medical Center

Our physician practices are located on the 3rd floor of the Temple Medical Center at 40 Temple Street in New Haven, Connecticut. Patients may use valet parking services, the Temple Street Garage, connected directly by a second story skywalk, or the Temple Medical Garage, connected directly to 40 Temple Streeet on the first level.

Driving Directions

If you are traveling to New Haven on I-91 South:

Take Exit 1 onto Route 34 toward downtown New Haven. On Route 34 move immediately into the right lane and take Exit 1 (downtown New Haven/Coliseum). Go through the first light at intersection of North Frontage and Church Street. The entrance to the Temple Facility Garage is on the right.

If you are traveling to New Haven on I-95 from the North or South:

On I-95 take Exit 47 onto Route 34 toward downtown New Haven. On Route 34 move immediately into the right lane and take Exit 1 (downtown New Haven/Coliseum). Go through the first light at intersection of North Frontage and Church Street. The entrance to the Temple Facility Garage is on the right.

If you are traveling to New Haven on the Merritt/Wilbur Cross Parkway from the direction of New York City:

On the Parkway, take Exit 54 for connector to I-95. At end of connector, take I-95 north toward New Haven. On I-95 take Exit 47 onto Route 34 toward downtown New Haven. On Route 34 move to right lane and take Exit 1 (downtown New Haven/Coliseum). Go through the first light at intersection of North Frontage and Church Street. The entrance to the Temple Facility Garage is on the right.

If you are traveling to New Haven on the Merritt/Wilbur Cross Parkway from the direction of Hartford:

On the Parkway, take Exit 57 to Route 34 East. Follow Rt. 34 East for 4.4 miles to Ella T. Grasso Boulevard. Turn right at light on E.T. Grasso (Route 34 E. & Route 10 S.) On E.T. Grasso, proceed to the second light and turn left onto Legion Avenue which becomes South Frontage Road. At the sixth light, turn left on York Street (pass under the Air Rights Garage). On York Street proceed to the second light and turn right on George Street. Proceed through the first light, which is the intersection with College Street. The entrance to the Temple Facility Garage is on the right.

If you are traveling to New Haven on Route 34 East from the direction of Waterbury:

Follow Route 34 east, after crossing Merritt/Wilbur Cross Parkway, for 4.4 miles to Ella T. Grasso Boulevard. Turn right at light on E.T. Grasso (Route 34 E. & Route 10 S.) On E.T. Grasso, proceed to the second light and turn left onto Legion Avenue which becomes South Frontage Road. At the sixth light, turn left on York Street (pass under Air Rights Garage). Parking Directions

Temple Surgical Center: There are two garages connected to the Temple Medical Building (patients will be charged an hourly rate to park in either of these garages):

1. Temple Medical Garage
2. Temple Street Garage

The cost of parking for either self-parking or valet parking is the same. Up to 1 hour is $3, up to 2 hours is $5, and up to 3 hours is $7. The maximum cost for parking is $9.
