Sight: it’s a gift that enables us to see our loved ones, admire a painting, and enjoy a sunset. It’s one of the five senses, so central that it’s used in myriad expressions. Leaders are asked for their vision. Opposing sides are urged to see eye-to-eye. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Yale Eye Center celebrates the gift of sight. It’s our life’s work to preserve this gift of sight and provide compassionate patient-centered care to this effort. Yale Eye Center has been a key player in developing medical and surgical advances in protecting sight, and we’re uniquely positioned to remain at the forefront of scientific discovery. To help us in this effort, we’re seeking to attract philanthropic support to fund crucial needs in cutting-edge patient care, leading basic translational and clinical research, broad based medical education and new technologies, to offer innovative ways to treat, prevent and cure diseases of the eye.
