Professional Statement

Dr. Parke has practiced ophthalmology in Connecticut for nearly 35 years. He earned his medical degree at Ohio State University, completed residency training at the combined Johns Hopkins-Fort Howard Veterans Administration program, and then performed a fellowship at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, DC.

In addition to being a leader in the Connecticut medical community, Dr. Parke has been a advocate for quality health care through leadership positions in state and national organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a recognized expert in the field of low vision correction, has served as consultant for the Connecticut Lions in their state low vision programs, and is currently Director of the Lion’s Low Vision Clinic at the Yale Eye Center.
